Biography

Megan Divine is a voice actor, singer, songwriter, educator, portrait artist, photographer, and holistic health practitioner based in Los Angeles.

Raised in a multicultural family with roots in Czechoslovakia and Africa, and immersed in Indian culture, Megan brings a global perspective to everything she does. She was born on a U.S. Army base in Germany, and as part of a military family, grew up across Ohio, Texas, Florida, Chicago, and Los Angeles. A natural traveler, she has embraced diverse cultures around the world and infuses the wisdom of those experiences into her art, teaching, and healing work.

A lifelong creative, Megan studied at Oberlin College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus on writing, art, and languages. She has taught for over a decade in Chicago and Los Angeles, primarily serving underprivileged communities, and her experience spans English, History, and Social Emotional Learning. Her holistic teaching approach blends firm structure with warmth and compassion, always emphasizing creativity as a path to growth.

Alongside education, Megan has spent more than 20 years as a professional photographer, capturing portraits, events, and communities. As a portrait artist, she creates works that reflect identity, connection, and storytelling. Her artwork has been exhibited by the Southern California Women’s Caucus for Art, honored as a finalist for a tribute piece commemorating the Uvalde tragedy, and in 2022 she created and revealed a tribute to legendary filmmaker Euzhan Palcy at her Lifetime Achievement Oscar celebration.

Megan is also a seasoned performer, with lead roles in musicals including A Chorus Line, Grease, Wicked, Rent, and Phantom of the Opera. She has trained in voice since childhood, performed in choir, and learned piano, clarinet, and violin. Her vocal style blends pop-folk, soul, and breathy tones across an alto-soprano range. A skilled linguist, she is fluent in French, conversational in Spanish, and has studied Italian, Latin, and Ancient Greek. Her accent repertoire spans a wide variety of American English, British, Irish, Scottish, Indian, French, Jamaican, West African, Russian, and Arabic.

Megan continues to explore, train, and expand her artistry, most recently co-leading retreats in Florence, Italy, where she shares her passion for creativity, wellness, and cultural appreciation. Whether in the classroom, behind the camera, or on stage, her work reflects a commitment to uplifting others through creativity, connection, and healing.
